Book Friend: “Epistemological Conflicts between Scientific and Religious Knowledge” by Fernando Aranda Fraga

On Friday October 24 at 11:00 AM, in the conference room of the Adventist Institute of Biblical Culture “Villa Aurora” (via Ellen Gould White 8, Florence), there will be a new appointment with Book Friend, the literary review dedicated to the dialogue between faith, culture, and contemporary thought.

The focus of the meeting will be the volume “Epistemological Conflicts between Scientific and Religious Knowledge” (Editorial UCEL, 2008) by Fernando Aranda Fraga, professor at the Universidad Adventista del Plata.

The topic, of great relevance, addresses the complex and fascinating relationship between scientific and religious knowledge, two areas that, while following different logics, can engage in dialogue and mutually enrich each other.

Engaging in dialogue with the author will be Hanz Gutierrez, professor at the Adventist Faculty of Theology, who will guide the audience through the main reflections of the text and the philosophical and theological implications of the epistemological debate.

The event will also be broadcast live on the Institute’s Facebook page:

A valuable opportunity to delve into the connection between science and faith and reflect on how the search for truth can take different but complementary forms.
