Friend Book: “Treelogy/Theology. Connecting: Us, God, and the Tree” by Elizabeth Green

On Wednesday, December 11th, at 11:00 a.m., Libro Amico returns, the series of meetings dedicated to culture and spirituality organized by the Adventist Institute. This time, the event will focus on Elizabeth Green, a Baptist theologian from Grosseto, who will present her new book: “Treelogy/Theology. Connected: Us, God, and the Tree” (Gabrielli Editore, 2024).

“Treelogy/Theology” tackles a fascinating and timely theme: the profound connection between spirituality, nature, and human relationships. Through the metaphor of the tree, Green offers a reflection on how the relationship with God and others is inevitably intertwined with care and respect for creation. The tree thus becomes a symbol of a broader connection, reminding us of our responsibility towards the earth and other living beings.

Adding to the enrichment of the event will be the presence of Professor Hanz Gutierrez, a professor and theologian, who will engage in conversation with the author, exploring the book’s themes and encouraging shared reflection with the audience.

The event promises to be a unique opportunity to reflect on the relationship between faith, sustainability, and our role in the world. It’s a chance to be inspired and rediscover the value of spiritual and natural connection in a time that demands greater awareness and responsibility.

The meeting will be held in the Adventist Institute’s conference room, but those unable to attend in person can also stream it at https://hopemedia.it/istituto-avventista/ and on our Facebook page.
